Kyle Prater is a five-star receiver from Proviso West High School who stands 6'5" and weighs 205 pounds. Although only a junior, Prater could possibly attend any school in the country with his skill and talent.
"I'm only a junior and I really can't take official visits yet, but I've been to a few colleges already," Prater acknowledged. "I don't have a top five school list yet, it's too early. I'm going to wait and start going through all the ones I like most. I want to play in the NFL someday, but for right now I have a lot of work to do in high school and get better all around."
Here at Scout.com we have the following schools offering Prater: Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Norte Dame, Oklahoma, Penn State, and USC. He's definitely attracted some attention from big-time programs and Prater admits things have gone well for him so far.
"I was the MVP of the US Army game, which really helped my recruiting status," Prater said.
When looking at the next level most high school star athletes want to play on Sundays but Prater knows most schools sell all their NFL players and what coaches do to prepare them.
"I don't think the conference will matter; it's how you prepare," Prater stated. "There are a lot of good coaches out there. It's up to the athlete to work hard and get better."
