Pike making the transition to Metropolitan Conference

The Pike Red Devils are making the transition from Conference Indiana into the meat grinder Metropolitan Conference. The Red Devils record of 4-4 is very deceiving at this point. Pike has lost a four point game to Ohio power Moeller, a one point loss to Center Grove, and overtime loss to Ben Davis and an eight point loss to Carmel.

The Red Devils are led by quarterback Brent Lyles. the 6-3 191 Lyles is four year starter. It truly stuns me that Lyles does not have a long laundry list of offers. Tennessee bound receiver Dominique Booth is a great playmaker. A good size offensive line helps the Red Devils.

The Pike defense is led by senior cornerback Robert Williams and a host of talented juniors.

Pike will open up sectional 5 play with a matchup with Brownsburg. If they win it could be a rematch with Ben Davis or a talented Avon squad.
