As singing day approaches a ton of Indiana kids are looking at making their college choices.

As singing day approaches a ton of Indiana kids are looking at making their college choices. Here are some notes from around the state.


Bosse Running Back Carrington Crutcher has had in school visits from University of Indy, Marian University, Georgetown, Kentucky Wesleyan, Lindsey Wilson, Earlham, and has been talking to South Florida


Tipton quarterback Austin Hooker has verbally committed to Indiana University to play baseball. Blue Devil offensive lineman Luke Shively has been offered preferred walk on status at Northern Illinois and Indiana. He has been offered by Marian University (NAIA). Luke is also considering Western Illinois, Butler, and St. Joseph's,


At Perry Meridian Coach Scott Marsh informs us that record setting quarterback Conner Smith is still in the process of narrowing things down. Right now, it stands between Valparaiso and Butler, more than likely. Running Back Jaquan Keys has committed to Indiana State and receiver Collin Timmons has committed to the University of Indianapolis.


Fort Wayne Snider DE Donavin ODay is committed to Illinois St. and Coach Spack. LB Rahju Blackmon is waiting for an offer from Southern Illinois. - He is visiting 1st weekend in Jan. If no offer - he has Div.II offers from Univ. Indy, Ohio Dominican, Wayne St. and is visiting Grand Valley today. WR AJ Gomez Espino is committed to St. Francis in Ft. Wayne


Right now Chatard TE Henry Hill is looking at Indianapolis University or Air Force Prep Academy in order to attend Air Force University.


West Lafayette has a variety of interest in its players after advancing to the semi state. Coach Fry mentions the following interest for his players:

Maurice Woodard- UIndy, St. Francis, Marian

John Duvall- UIndy, Hillsdale, Marian, St. Josephs, Northern Michigan, Wabash

Everett Gorup- Dartmouth, Penn, Lafayette, Wabash

Jade Doty- Wabash, Butler, Brandon Watt- St. Francis, St. Josephs, Southern Illinois

Parker Ronchetto- St. Francis, Manchester, Franklin

Ty Edmond- Manchester, Franklin

Albert Williams - Grand Valley State, interest from multiple MAC schools and 1AA but will wait until January

Michael Beaty - Marian, St. Francis, numerous D2, possible D1 Walk on

Tre Harney - Marain, St. Francis and D1-AA

Sean Boswell - Uindy, Hillsdale, St. Francis, Marian, etc.

Tony Allen - Numerous NAIA and D3

O'Shea Heard - Walsh, UIndy, St. Joe, possible D1 walk on

Jamie Akin - St. Franics, Marian, St. Joe

Antwione Crawford - St. Francis, Marian

Center Grove LB Dillin Dallas has on offer from the University of Indianapolis. Fellow linebacker Keegan McFatridge also is garnering interest.


Roncalli coach Bruce Scifres has a host of talented recruits. He gives the latest on his class of 2014 Rebels:

Cal Scifres is being recruited by Army, Eastern Kentucky, Western Illinois, Indiana State, Univ. of Indianapolis, Marian Univ., and St. Francis

Nick Neu is is being recruited by Penn and Dartmouth, and will probably commit to one of those two schools soon.

Hank Kiesel is being recruited by Hillsdale, University of Indianapolis, Marian Univ., and St. Francis

David Holtkamp is being recruited by Hillsdale, University of Indianapolis, Marian Univ., St. Francis and several Ivy League Schools.

Cam Smock is being recruited by Marian Univ., and several Ivy League schools (4.45 GPA)

Evan Cahill is being recruited by Marian Univ. and Brown Univ.

Mike Mullin is being recruited by Marian Univ., and St. Francis


QB Westfield QB Nick Ferrer is being recruited by St. Francis, Marion, Olivet Nazarene, Walsh, and Urbana.

Teammates Zane Burtron and Nick Krieg are also getting attention and offers from St. Francis, Marion, and ONU.


Martinsville Coach Fred Kutruff informs us that QB Mason Kutruff is headed to Dayton to play baseball. He is looking forward to seeing how he projects for the June MLB draft.


Andrean state champion LB Tylor Petkovich has verballed to Illinois State.


East Chicago Central has many players looking to join Martayveus Carter (Northern Illinois) at the college level.
