2014: Fort Wayne Snider Panthers

The Snider Panthers has plenty of standouts to be contender

PREVIEW 2014: Fort Wayne Snider Panthers

The Snider Panthers won their 7th straight sectional title last season. Coach Kurt Tippman led the Panthers to a 9-3 record. As usual Snider reloads instead of rebuilding. Snider will have to replace two great defensive talents in LB Rahju Blackmon (Grand Valley State) and Donavin O’Day (Illinois State)

Senior DB Jessie Bates has several MAC offers and has great size at 6-3, 185.

BREAKOUT PLAYER

Senior RB NeAndre Billingsley will look to improve on his 673 yards rushing from last season.

TOP UNDERCLASSMEN

Junior WR Malik Bramley has had a breakout summer campaign and has picked up his first of what should be many D1 offers.

SCOUTING THE: PANTHERS POSITION BY POSITION

QUARTERBACK

Senior Colton Painter (6-4, 200) took over the reins at quarterback last season and threw for over 1400 yards and nine touchdowns.

RUNNING BACK

NeAndre Billingsley should see a huge spike in his numbers from last season.

RECEIVERS

Junior Malik Bramley will join senior holdovers Landon Rasmussen and Alex Taylor to form a new wideout group

OFFENSIVE LINE

A couple of returnees up front are center Noah Maisoneuve and guard Jaiyre Carr. Seniors Sean Englert, David Alvarez and Ryan Ensley give the Panthers some beef up front.

DEFENSIVE LINE

Senior Tackle Matt Swartz leads this front. DE Josh Loya also is a returning starter.

LINEBACKERS

Alex Reese and Joe Williams bring back experience at the linebacker spots.

DEFENSIVE BACKS

Senior Jaylin Fowler joins Jessie Bates in the secondary to form a nice 1-2 punch in the secondary.
OUTLOOK:

Winning sectionals is great at most schools at Snider they expect more. This Panther team should have great balance running and passing the ball. The Panthers as usual will be stout on defense. Look for them to be in the 5A title contenders discussion.
