PREVIEW 2014: Hamilton SE Royals
The Hamilton SE Royals have made themselves a year in and year out formidable power. Last season Coach Scott May led the Royals to a 7-3 mark. May and company will have to replace some key players led by WR Cameron Polk (Louisville), OL Jimmy McCarthy (Central Michigan) and RB Jamitreus Crockham (Arizona Western JC)
Hard to pin point one player here, but we will go with TE Kyle Schrank (223 receptions), a Ball State recruit. He also starts at DE.
Look for senior WR Chris Ford to drastically up his 21 catch total of last season.
DE/OLB Collin Miller is back as a defensive stalwart.
SCOUTING THE: ROYALS POSITION BY POSITION
Senior Tyler Janney is back after throwing for over 1400 yards last season.
Senior Giovanni Blades, junior Curtis Goss and sophomore Brock Burns will compete for carries.
Chris Ford and Kyle Schrank give the Royals a great combo.
All Stater Chase Wilson (6-4, 320) is the key returnee up front. Other names to watch are Jeremy Woelfer, Ashmon Lucas and Caleb Claton.
Senior to prospect Frank Sergi (6-4, 225) is joined by Kyle Schrank and Collin Miller.
Senior MLB Ryan Clements will have newcomers surrounding him.
Senior David Herman is the lone returnee in the secondary.
The Royals should again be a force in both Sectional 4 and in the Hoosier Crossroads Conference.
