PREVIEW 2014: Fishers Tigers
Coach Rick Wimmer has built an incredible power at Fishers High School. Wimmer has compiled a 63-31 record in 7 seasons. A 2010 state championship is the biggest accomplishment. The Tigers will have some graduation holes to fill from last season’s 9-2 squad including: WR J’Shun Harris, QB Connor Christiansen, OL Drew Broughton and RB Harvey Allen
Senior RB Maurice Campbell is the man. Underrated on the recruiting front the 5-10, 175 back rushed for 1850 yards.
Junior OL Titus Martin (6-4, 265) is a holdover along the offensive front. He is sure to gain some D1 looks.
Sophomore DB R.J. Potts is the leading returning tackler for the Tigers. He is without a doubt one of the state’s top sophomores.
SCOUTING THE: TIGERS POSITION BY POSITION
Replacing Christiansen at quarterback is going to be a big key for Wimmer and the Tigers. Juniors Zach Eaton and Brent Hays are leading QB candidates.
Explosive Maurice Campbell leads the backfield. Looking to join Campbell are Alex Butterfield, Roberton Rodriguez, Jeremy Chinn and Jermaine Huddleston.
Senior Simeon Foster is the leading returning receiver with 17 receptions. The rest of the receiver unit is wide open.
D1 prospect Titus Martin will be joined as a returnee by Matt Hafley.
Junior D1 prospect Shawn Taylor and senior Joel Wilcox gives Fishers experience starters up front.
Senior Luke Harbison is the lone returnee at linebacker.
R.J. Potts leads the most experienced group on this team. Josh Lloyd and Jeremy Chinn also return as starters for the Tigers.
Fisher will have an opportunity to keep their winning ways. The Tigers need someone to step up an be the leader at quarterback. Wimmer and gang should have another outstanding season with Maurice Campbell, R.J. Potts, Matt Hafley, Shawn Taylor, and Titus Martin leading the way.
