Indiana's top ranked OL prospect for 2016 should have plenty of offers to choose from

Take a look at Indiana's top ranked OL prospect for the class of 2016. Trent Maynard has been on the radar of big time coaches for some time. The Hawks, who sent QB Tommy Stevens to Penn State, also have some other top notch D1 prospects to watch. Coach Justin Dixson will again be a busy man with the recruiters on the Southwest Side of Indianapolis.

How did your junior season go?

It went great. Our team was able to accomplish one of our main goals which was to win the conference championship. Individually, I felt like I improved and got better week by week. I can honestly say that I believe I played my best football at the end of the season.

What schools are currently recruiting you?

There are several schools that I hear from whether it’s through social media, mail, etc. As for all of those schools, there are Florida State, Notre Dame, UCLA, California, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Clemson, Arizona, Arizona State, Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Yale, Stanford, Penn, Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan State, Iowa, Ohio State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Northwestern, Purdue, Cincinnati, Oregon, Oregon State, Boston College, Western Michigan, Ball State, Miami (OH)

What offers do you currently have?

I currently have offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Illinois, Northwestern, Miami (OH), Western Michigan and Minnesota.

Do you have a favorite school at this point?

I wouldn’t really say I have a favorite school as of now. All the schools that I hear from are tremendous schools and I’m very blessed to be able to have the opportunity that is ahead of me.

Is there a school you wish was recruiting you?

Not really, again I’m just blessed, humble and ecstatic about the schools that have interest in me.

What schools have you visited?

I’ve visited Indiana a few times as well as Notre Dame and Purdue. I’ve been to Cincinnati, Purdue, Kentucky, Louisville, Iowa, Northwestern, Illinois, Vanderbilt and Michigan State.

Do you have upcoming plans to visit any other schools?

This weekend, February 21st, I will be going down to Kentucky for their Junior Day. The weekend after that I will be at Northwestern and then in April I will make my way to Tennessee. I plan to visit a few more schools but these are the ones that I’m for sure going to as of now.

What other sports do you play?

I do play basketball still, just not for our school team. I also throw for our track team too.

What would you like to major in?

I’ve always liked the idea of majoring in pre medicine. If for some reason I don’t want to do that, then I’ve always thought about secondary education so that I could teach and coach.
