Center Grove Players Move Up

Some will argue that this is what high school football is all about getting the opportunity to play at the next level. Center Grove arguably had it all in 2008-2009. The reigning 5A state champions saw some of their players step up to the next plateau when they signed their National Letter's of Intent today.

Most notable was Jordan Luallen and Luke Swift who will play at Georgia Tech and Miami of Ohio respectively. But, just they did it on the field last fall they signed as a team today. Nine Trojans and vowing there will be more over the course of the next few weeks. The report was a total of 13 senior football players will be playing college football from the class of '09. Today nine of them signed the dotted line. Beside Luallen and Swift, 7 others participated in the afternoon signing ceremony.

Tanner Riley and Keith Dietel are headed to Indiana State. While 5 Trojans will play their college football at Marion College they are Kyle Jones, Kevin Jones, Derek Dallas, Austin Pendygrath and Ethan Hedeen. Each of these young men was given the opportunity to say a few words to the audience which numbered well over 100. Each young man thanked their parents and coaches for their support.

Coach Moore recognized each young mans achievements on an off the field. In a sense the 2008 season does come to an end for so many on national signing day as each young man across America enters another facet of their life. Indiana set a record today for the most players ever signed a NLI for college football. IVS now turns its attention to the class of 2010; stay tuned as we search for Indiana's best players in the class of 2010.
