Roberts Vaults Onto Recruiting Scene

D'Angelo Roberts has vaulted onto the Indiana HS football recruiting scene as a Jr. running back for Bloomington North. Indiana Varsity Scout listed him on the scout database at about the 4th game of the Indiana HS football season. In his 8 games he has rushed for 1633 yards and is versatile enough as a receiver that he caught Indiana University's eye.

At 5-10 175lbs he has been among the top 3 rushers in the state and is playing in the competitive Conference Indiana. Bloomington North attends the Indiana University team camp during the summer so the coaches were familiar with his abilities. He basically had a break out year, and it's obvious the IU doesn't want this local player to get away.

He has made an unofficial visit to Illinois and has heard from Cincinnati, Louisville, and Michigan State. His head coach is Scott Bless and Roberts is the first player since he became coach at Bloomington North to be offered from a D1 school. Robert's has run 4.51 forty and added 17 pounds of muscle between his sophomore and junior season.
