Cameron Thomas, fresh off a 355 yard performance, talked with Scout Kentucky Preps about his season.

Kentucky is blessed with several productive running backs in the 2012 class. Possibly the most productive back in the entire state is East Jessamine's Cameron Thomas. So far this season, Thomas has rushed for 1596 yards and 19 touchdowns.

"My season is going real well. Better than I expected. I think I'm still number one in the state for rushing and I got a couple of scouts looking at me," said Thomas.

Thomas is hearing from Kentucky and Cincinnati the most, but he's also hearing from UCLA, Stanford and Marshall as well.

"I don't have any offers right now. I hope to get something by the end of my senior year. I just want to play football," said Thomas.

If Thomas keeps playing football at the level he's playing, he'll get that opportunity. Thomas is a long athlete at running back, standing 6-foot, 173-pounds and running a 4.5 forty. But it's not just about his physique.

"I consider my strengths y vision and my quick cuts and my speed," he said. "I am a little like Reggie Bush," laughed Thomas. "I'm just explosive and whatever I see, I go to," he continued.

As a running back, Thomas knows he has to keep improving his game and he knows a couple of spots that stand out as room for improvement.

"I want to get my strength better," said Thomas. "Also I want to be quicker on my feet. We don't do agility work in practice and me and my friend work on it after practice," he continued.

East Jessamine stands at 6-2 so far this season with a couple games left and if Thomas continues to play as he has in the past, he's going to reach one of his personal goals and possibly his team goals.

"My goals for the rest of the year are to try to get to 2000 yards and at least get to the semi finals. We'll go from there," he finished.

Cameron Thomas is definitely one of the top players in Kentucky's junior class to watch.
