Montgomery, a 5-foot-11, 185-pound athlete has played all over the field for Hopkinsville. The senior done most of his work at quarterback this season; managing to rush the ball for 498 yards and 11 touchdowns. He also threw for 546 yards and four touchdowns this season. But Montgomery doesn't look fondly upon this year for the Tigers.
"The season wasn't that good," said Montgomery. "We went 3-7. I played well every game and every game they has one or two spies on me," he said.
Even though things didn't go as planned, Montgomery has earned one scholarship offer and is hearing from a hand full of others.
"The school that I'm talking to right now is Eastern Kentucky. They have offered me," he said. "The other schools are waiting on my ACT scores. The schools are Murray State, Austin Peay, Tennessee-Martin, Western Kentucky and Kentucky State," he said.
Montgomery plans to visit Eastern Kentucky on the 21st and hopes to take other visits. Until then, he's preparing for the next level.
"Right now I'm just working out to get bigger for college," he said.
