Madon is no stranger to success. Madon's soph. year he was part of the 4A state Championship team at Bell County and went 25-3 as a starting QB for his career. Madon passed for 21 touchdowns and rushed for 5 touchdowns while only throwing 2 interceptions his senior year. He also accounted for 44 tackles and 4 interceptions on the defensive side. Madon also averages 19 points per game for the Bobcat basketball team and is rated as the top player in the 13th region. He has led the Bobcats to a 9-3 record so far this season, and the Bobcats are considered as one of the favorites to win the 13th Region title.
I talked to Madon recently about his upcoming college decision.
"Eastern Kentucky and Carson Newman are my top 2 choices right now because of the school size and they are both prestigious programs" Madon said. "They both are recruiting me as an athlete." He went on to say, "Out of the NAIA schools recruiting me, Lindsey Wilson is my top choice. They have a very nice campus and very nice facilities. They are recruiting me as both a Quarterback and a Wide Receiver." I also asked Madon when he plans on making a decision. Madon said, "Hopefully by the first or second week of February."
Madon also received several honors this year. He was named 1st Team All State, SEKC Offensive Back of the Year, and also competed in the 2011 National Guard Border Bowl.
