Zeke Pike is nearing 50 scholarship offers and he's only a junior. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound quarterback keeps picking up new offers, although it won't be long before he narrows down his list to a manageable number.
"Hopefully after I get some spring visits in I can narrow it down to a top five or so," said Pike.
With all those schools involved, you'd think that Pike would have made it to some Junior Day activities, but that's not the case. Pike is playing basketball at Dixie Heights and his team is now headed to the Sweet 16.
Pike did recently visit Kentucky for their basketball game against Florida.
"It was a really good time," said Pike. "Fun game to watch and I got to chat with the coaches some," he continued.
Pike will schedule some of his spring visits after the basketball season ends. But even during basketball, he's already getting ready for football.
"I throw four days a week and lift four days a week. I'm trying to get bigger, faster and stronger. I can't ever be satisfied. I have to do footwork drills and keep my mechanics sharp," Pike said.
While Pike is already highly acclaimed, he's still got his mind on a couple of things.
"My goal is to become a better football player and lead my team in the off-season," he continued.
