Boyd meets with Cards

One of many top major prospects in Jefferson County is junior Jalen Boyd. With that being the case, it's no surprise that the Louisville coaching staff has taken interest.

Jalen Boyd got an opportunity to visit with a couple of Louisville coaches Vance Bedford and Head Coach Charlie Strong. So what did that meeting entail?

"My meeting with Louisville was great," said Boyd. "I was a little nervous talking to the coaches in person, but I got comfortable because I always dreamed of being a Card," said Boyd.

Jalen didn't leave the meeting with a scholarship offer to go along with his current offers from Stanford and Illinois, but he did talk to him about getting more familiar with the program.

"They told me they want to get me around more during the spring and that they want me at some camps," said Boyd. "They said they will be recruiting me because they want me there," he continued.

So what other things did Boyd talk about in the meeting?

"I talked to Coach Bedford about the schools I'm being recruited by and their returning players. He told me some tips for a defensive back that will help me this year," said Boyd.

Boyd hasn't recently picked up any new offers, but he's getting interest from Kentucky and UCLA. Tennessee and Hawaii are also getting involved. But Boyd is ready to work for more attention.

"This off-season I'm attending a lot of camps to raise my stock and prove that I can play D-1 college football," Boyd finished.
