SEC comes calling Manning

2012 3 star Tamron Manning of Scott County saw his season end disappointingly against Lexington Catholic in the 11th Region Tournament, but that didn't mean his recruiting slacked off any as a result.

According to Manning three SEC coaches have called in recent weeks and are getting involved in his recruitment. Those schools are Alabama, LSU and Georgia. Manning has spoken with Trent Johnson of LSU and Anthony Grant of Alabama along with assistants from Georgia. He said no offers have been extended but there is a definite mutual interest between those schools and on Manning's part.

Manning said he will begin setting up visits after the NCAA tournament to the schools he likes, and as of now his top schools in no order would be: Dayton, Cincinnati, Florida, Alabama, Virginia Tech and Ohio University. He only has offers from Ohio and Dayton but believes the offers will come during the AAU season especially with all of the major interest that has been picking up in recent months.

Manning will be playing with the KY All Stars during the AAU circuit with his first tournament being in Indianapolis near the end of April at the Spiece Heat tournament.
