Louisville's Trinity High (Ky.) school is known throughout the state for quality football and they compete at a high level every time they put a team on the field. One of their best players is wide receiver Darick Nix. The 6-foot, 190-pound Nix had 42 receptions for 604 yards and four touchdowns as a junior, and there's one big reason why.

"I take pride in my route running and my run after the catch," said Nix. "But I want to become a better blocker," he continued.

Trinity started off playing a tough schedule and fell to an early 2-4 record, before bouncing back. "We went through a lot of adversity and we handled it well and times. Sometimes we crumbled under pressure. Overall, we played alright, but not nearly as well as we could have," Nix said.

Nix had some early interest from his hometown Louisville Cardinals, as well as Cincinnati and Morehead State, but he hasn't received any offers at this time. That could change this summer, however.

"I'm going to the Western Kentucky camp at Ballard High (Ky.) school," said Nix. "I'm going to the Friday Night Blue Lights camp at Kentucky, Ohio State's camp, Miami's camp and Cincinnati's camp," he said.

Nix doesn't have a time table in place to make a college choice, but he does know what it'll take to get his signature on a Letter-of-Intent.

"I'm looking for a school that will help me become successful after college and a school that I can fit into for football," he said.
