Ryan Smith showed as a junior that he was arguably the best defensive tackle in Kentucky's 2011 class. Now he's cementing his accolades with a strong spring performance.

Smith (6-foot-1, 290-pounds) has received interest from several schools all over the region including, Louisville, Kentucky, Miami, Illnois, Michigan State, West Virginia, Navy, Ohio State, Marshall and Western Kentucky.

Now he could be nearing offers from three of those schools.

Scout Kentucky Preps reported recently that Smith would be visiting Navy on June 16th where he could receive his first official offer.

Smith also recently attended the University of Kentucky's lineman camp. "I've been at UK's camp the past three days," he said. "They really liked the way I moved and dominated the one on ones. I believe I moved up further on their recruiting board," he finished.

Marshall also got a chance to see Smith in person. "I went to Marshall's camp and they really liked me. I did well there," he said.

Louisville will also get a chance to evaluate Smith as he will attend their camp that start Sunday and ends on Tuesday.
