Manning getting new interest

After playing a supportive role in his first two years of high school, Tamron Manning is ready to take over leadership at Scott County. But right now, recruiting is picking up.

Tamron Manning is playing this summer with Hoop Dreams Academy for AAU. Before AAUs began, Manning was hearing from Tennessee, Indiana, Western Kentucky, Cincinnati and Oklahoma State.

Now he's getting interest from a couple of other schools.

"Missouri and Xavier have come in (to recruit me)," said Manning.

While he's still waiting on his first offers, Manning is seeing interest pick up. "No offers yet, but I have been in a lot of contact," he said.

"My AAUs have been going great. I've been invited to the John Lucas Camp and a few others," continued Manning.

Manning still has two more years of high school, so he's not even close to making a decision, as he told us last month.

"I'm wide open right now. I'm sure as recruiting picks up, I'll have it down to a few schools," he finished.
