The Seventh Region in Kentucky is always one of the most talented ones in the state. One player with a lot of potential is Moore's Deondre McWhorter. SKP talked to the 6-foot-8 center.

Scout Kentucky Preps: What do you consider as your strengths as a player?

Deondre McWhorter: My strengths are blocking shots and my post moves.

SKP: What do you want to get better at?

DM: I want to improve my conditioning and my scoring ability.

SKP: How did you play this past season?

DM: I did okay, but I could have done way better.

SKP: How have you been doing in AAU's this spring and summer?

DM: I have been doing okay.

SKP: What schools are you hearing from?

DM: I talk to Eastern Kentucky some, but that's it.

SKP: Do you have any offers yet?

DM: I have some from junior colleges, but nothing major.

SKP: What have you seen yourself improve most on since the end of last season?

DM: I've seen the most improvement in my post moves.

SKP: What are your biggest goals going into your senior year?

DM: I want to go to state. And getting a scholarship is a goal too.
