Lewis Adds Another One

Dual sport athlete Ryan Lewis (6-2, 205, 4.6) is one of Louisiana's top signal callers for 2008.

Ryan Lewis Profile

Lewis is a three-year starter heading into his senior year and has compiled a record of 25-2 at Catholic of Baton Rouge (La.).

Last season the southpaw hooked up with his receivers often, throwing 20 touchdowns with only five interceptions.  He was voted the district Offensive MVP and earned honorable mention all-state honors.

So far, the summer has been an adventure for Lewis.

In May, he received offers from Air Force, Rice, UL Monroe, the University of Connecticut and he recently added another offer to his repertoire.

"I just spoke with some coaches from Louisiana Tech and they offered me a scholarship," Lewis explained.

There's more to the adventure.

"I've visited Alabama, Northwestern, and Rice for camps," Lewis informed. "I'll be going to Auburn in two weeks and I'd really like to check out LSU as well."

Two schools are at the top of the chart for Lewis.

"Of the schools that have offered, I'd list Rice and Louisiana Tech as my top two," Lewis said. "I really like Rice because the coaches said I might be able to play football and baseball. I also like both schools because of their academics."
