Green Ready For LSU Camp

In this day and age of college football, the deep ball is always a threat. The importance of a good shut-down corner is like never before. Having a player that can take away a dimension of your opponent's game plan is priceless. One Louisiana product fits that description.

Robby Green (6'0, 170, 4.5) out of John Curtis High School has been terrorizing every offense he has come up against. Last year while playing corner back, Green racked up 30 tackles, 15 pass break-ups and took in 4 interceptions.

His aggressive play has earned him more offers than he can count on two hands.

"I have received a lot of offers," Green stated. "I currently do not have a list of favorites, but I am hoping to get a top 10 list soon and then have like a top 5 list by mid season."

Although Green does not have a favorites list, that does not mean some schools do not have Green amongst the top of their list.

"Out of all of the schools that have offered, I'd say I hear from LSU, Michigan, and USC the most," said Green.

Green recently returned home from a USC camp.

"It was nice out there," Green explained. "It was more of a 1-on-1 recruiting camp than anything. I felt like some of the people out there had different attitudes and personalities but it was a lot of fun."

Before the USC camp, Green had made a trip to an Alabama camp.

"I liked the Alabama camp," said Green. "It was intense. We really got after it out there. We were always moving around while focusing on footwork and stuff like that. I had a good time."

Before the summer comes to an end, Green has plans to attend one more camp.

"On July 22, I am going to the LSU camp," Green informed. "I am looking forward to it. Lately, I've been staying in touch with just about all of the LSU coaches. I've talked to coach Porter, Mallory, and Pelini. I've talked to them all."

Green feels his game has come a long way.

"I remember when I first started playing in high school, I really didn't feel like I had good vision," said Green. "Now that some years have passed by and I've gained more experience, I feel like my field awareness is much better. I'm still just as aggressive, but my covering skills have enhanced."
