Bozeman Happy to Have College Interest

Madison Heights (Mich.) senior guard Damon Bozeman talks about his increasing college interest and playoff expectations.

Madison Heights (Mich.) 6-foot-2, 200-pound senior guard Damon Bozeman is truly having a breakout senior season averaging 31 ppg, 12 rpg and 4 apg.

"My senior season has truly been my best season by far in my high school career." Bozeman said. "I am on a totally different level this season from leadership and player standpoint."

Bozeman has had multiple double-doubles this season and colleges like Toledo, Central Michigan, Detroit Mercy, Ferris State and Wayne State have taken notice.

"To go from no college interest to college coaches constantly calling me is truly a blessing." Bozeman replied. "I have always worked hard to gain interest and now I finally get it in my senior season, it's a great feeling."

Bozeman recently had an unofficial visit at Central Michigan and was able to see the Chippewas in action.

"Central Michigan was great!" Bozeman replied. "The campus is great, the people are so friendly I really felt at home while on campus. The game was amazing and the atmosphere was crazy I could tell the fans really love and appreciate the team."

While Bozeman is enjoying the recruiting process he is also focused on leading his team far in the Class C playoffs.

"Madison Heights is really a sleeper team this season going into the playoffs, many people don't know about us and aren't sure what to expect when they play us. As a team we believe now that we are in Class C, we have a real opportunity to go far and we are eager to cause some huge upsets."

Bozeman also hopes the playoffs will earn him his first offer along with many more.

"Right now I have no offers. I hope to change that in this season's playoffs. I am eager to show coaches that I am team player and that I will do anything to win."
