Gourdine Receives a Bearcat Offer

Farmington (Mich.) junior safety Isaiah Gourdine talks about his recent offer from the Cincinnati Bearcats.

Farmington (Mich.) 6-foot-2, 185-pound junior safety Isaiah Gourdine recently received an offer from the Cincinnati Bearcats.

"It is truly a blessing to receive this offer." Gourdine said. "I got the call around dinner time, my parents were with me. Basically the coach said they were offering me a full ride scholarship and that I had to continue to do well in school and on the field. I was very excited to receive the offer, my mom and dad were very excited that they called my grandparents to spread the news. It was an awesome feeling and ultimately a great night." Gourdine recently visited Cincinnati's campus and say he definitely like what he saw.

I had the opportunity to see Cincinnati's campus, when I attended a football camp there." Gourdine replied. "I love the campus and the area, I could definitely see myself out there. I also have to admit I love the jerseys, which is always a nice bonus."

Gourdine also has offers from Bowling Green and Eastern Michigan but says Cincinnati offer is really special.

"Cincinnati was my first BCS offer." Gourdine said. "That's huge for me, so I definitely hold them in high esteem. However, I still appreciate my current offers from BGSU and EMU and I don't take them for granted.

Gourdine hopes to receive more offers as time goes on and is looking forward to Central Michigan Junior Day which takes place on March 17th.
