Robinson Talks Recruiting

Detroit Community (Mich.) junior guard Ramell Robinson discusses his current college offer list and college interest along with his AAU plans.

Detroit Community (Mich.) 5-foot-9, 155-pound junior guard Ramell Robinson has become one of the top point guards in the Class of 2013 in the state of Michigan.

Robinson is a quick guard who can take you off the dribble and create for himself or others. This is type of skill set hasn't been lost upon schools like Iowa State, Ohio, Dayton, Oregon State and UNLV, all whom he has received official offers from.

"It is great to have some many great offers and truly a blessing." Robinson said. "I don't take any of them for granted and it encourages me to keep working hard."

Robinson has had the opportunity to visit Ohio, Iowa State, UNLV and Dayton.

"All the visits were great and had something special to offer." Robinson replied. "Ohio was great and I was impressed with their academics and small school setting. Iowa State was a huge environment but also a supportive environment. UNLV was very hot and that's always a bonus, I also like the fact that they are upcoming team in the College Basketball. Dayton was great because of the atmosphere and coaches. Overall I enjoyed all my visits so far, but my favorite two would have to be Iowa State and Dayton."

Robinson has also earned increasing interest from Arizona State, Detroit Mercy, Providence and DePaul.

"Once again it's great feeling and a blessing." Robinson said. "All these different schools are recruiting me pretty hard and I plan to turn those looks into offers soon, hopefully this AAU season. I also may visit Providence right before AAU season starts."

While Robinson is happy to be receiving so many different offers and looks, he says he is really waiting to hear from some Big Ten schools and hopes to earn some interest from them this AAU season.

"Big Ten is a great conference, full of great tradition, coaches, players and more." Robinson replied. "I really would love to receive some type of interest or offers from them. This AAU season I plan to improve on my weaknesses such as my rebounding and shooting and hopefully I will receive some more offers."

Robinson is motivated and talented which is a great combination, no doubt he will receive some more impressive offers over the AAU season.
