Clark's Recruitment is Growing

Romulus (Mich.) junior guard Wes Clark discusses his current offer list and interest list and the main schools on his mind.

Romulus (Mich.) 6-foot-0, 175-pound junior guard Wes Clark is one of the key members to the Romulus Eagles and helped to lead them to a Class A State Semi Finals this past season. This type of play and leadership hasn't been lost upon schools like USC, Cleveland State, Akron, Bowling Green State, Dayton and Wright State, all whom he has offers from.

"I am grateful for all my offers." Clark said. "I don't take any of my offers for granted." Out of all his current offers, one particular school stands out for him right now, the USC Trojans.

"I love USC." Clark replied. "The coaching staff is great, they stay in constant contact with me, and they have attended my games. Overall they have shown me a lot of love. USC appeals to me because of their great guard play and I feel I would fit well into their system. I hope to take a visit soon.

Clark also has recently earned interest from Xavier, Butler, Iowa State and Nebraska. Yet the main school that he is eager to earn an offer from is Xavier.

"I really like Xavier's style of play." Clark said. "They both have an up tempo setting and half court setting that they know how to execute well. I love the way they use their guards and the fact that they do well in the A-10 in the NCAA Tournament, they proved that in this year's NCAA Tournament.

While Clark has yet to receive an offer from Xavier, he has been in contact with the coaching staff and hopes to earn an offer this AAU season. Clark may have some top schools in mind but says he is not close to committing to a school right now.

"I am taking my time." Clark replied. "I hope to earn more offers over the AAU season. There is a slight possibility I could commit to a school after AAU season but if not I won't make my decision until senior season, either during the season or after the season.
