Two West Michigan Players Commit

Two of West Michigan's top recruits made their college choices this past week. One, decided on a MAC school, the other stayed close to home and in the GLIAC.

After waiting almost nearly to signing day, the wait is finally over for two of the west side's best recruiting prospects.

Preston Burrell, a 6'5, 265-lb defensive end from East Grand Rapids made his choice, announcing he would attend Bowling Green University. As a senior, Burrell had 40 total tackles, an INT and 5 sacks. He was considering Saginaw Valley, Grand Valley, Western and Central Michigan among others before deciding on Bowling Green.

In addition to Burrell, Muskegon Reeths-Puffer RB Kevin Battle verbally committed to Grand Valley State. The 5'8, 165-lb Battle had been considering Michigan State and Miami-Ohio as well but decided his quick, open field style would suit the Lakers perfectly.

Stay tuned to Michigan Insider as we will continue to update you on where the state's best are headed right up until signing day.
