Detroit King RB Darrin Williams has been a hot name of late. At only 5'6, 175 lbs, Williams does not stand out on paper, but now that his tapes are beginning to circulate, interest in the speedy playmaker has increased.

Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Boston College were all teams already hot on Williams' trail and now, add two more schools to that list.

"I've been getting a lot of interest from Iowa and West Virginia," Williams reported, "Iowa has sent letters and West Virginia called, I talked to them and they talked to my coach too."

The spread attack run in Morgantown appears to be ideal for a fast, shifty back like Williams. As a result, the Mountaineers have increased their interest in Williams and while neither they or Iowa have offered yet, he is hopeful seeing more of him action will do the trick.

"My coach has a coaching conference there this month and they said they need more tape on me, so we'll get it to them then," Williams said.

He also added that he would like to take the trip down himself and visit West Virginia's campus sometime this summer. We will have more on Williams as his interest grows and will also have a report on him from the NIKE camp in Cleveland, Ohio on March 25.
