Video/Profile: Muskegon WR Corey Johnson

Muskegon was loaded with talent last season and the Big Reds rode that all the way to a state title. One of the key players during that run was junior wideout Corey Johnson. Michigan Varsity brings you his junior highlights.

It isn't ever easy to repeat, but the Muskegon Big Reds may be primed to do so. They have won state titles two of the last three seasons and have the talent to make another run this next season. Even with stars like Ashton Leggett going off to Michigan State and Ronald Johnson to USC. One of the key players for the Big Reds will be Ronald's brother Corey Johnson, who had a strong junior season, his first with the varsity.

At 6'1, 175 lbs, Johnson has good size. He is a silky smooth route runner and while he is more quicker than straight-line fast, he has shown good ability to get deep. His camp performances last summer drew the attention of recruiters and he was rewarded with an offer from Michigan State and committed to the Spartans last summer.

Check out Johnson in action here with several clips from his junior season.
