Gaymon Gets New Offers, Shines at Combine

Detroit Renaissance has sent several kids to camps recently and their team has been impressive at each stop. This weekend was no different and one of their top talents, WR Sam Gaymon was rewarded with several new offers.

The secret is out, Detroit Renaissance has a pretty talented football team. The Phoenix have several talented college prospects as well as underclassmen who are primed to break onto the recruiting radar.

They had several performers do well at the Scout.com combine in Cincinnati and this past weekend, a couple players participated in the Michigan Elite Football Camp.

"Sam Gaymon, Charles Hollowell and Laurence Young dominated at the camp this past Saturday," assitant coach Antoine Edwards said, "They are going to the Penn State NIKE camp this weekend, so hopefully there will be more good news."

Among the positive news already received, Gaymon, the team's top wideout has caught the eye of recruiters with his 6'3 frame, smooth routes and good hands.

"Sam has picked up offers from Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan and Toledo from his performances," Edwards reported.

Those were the first three offers Gaymon has received. Hollowell, a rising prospect has shown ability at both defensive back, wide receiver and his natural position of runnign back. Young is one member of a talented offensive line.

Those three players along with OLB/DE Chris Norman, one of the state's top juniors, will travel to Chicago later this month for the scout.com combine on May 19.
