Frommann Making the Rounds

Portage Northern has a tough pounder at fullback and a hitter at linebacker and now after a few summer camps and a few more to come, colleges are beginning to find out about Teddy Frommann as well.

Teddy Frommann thinks he's a little bit under the radar at the moment, but based on his recent combine performances and the lack of attention surrounding him, he probably has a point. Frommann put up very solid numbers at a recent NATS combine, running a 4.9 forty and putting up 22 reps of 185.

"I've recently put up 27," he reported, "and right now my bench max is 345 lbs and my squat is 485."

Those kind of numbers combined with a solid junior year in which he was a two-way standout for Northern is why Frommann is hearing from a number of schools in the midwest.

"I'm being recruited by Michigan State, Wisconsin, Indiana, Univesity of Toledo, Cincinnati, and some local division 2 schools."

At 6'1, 235-lbs, Frommann has the size and strength to excel at a number of different positions. Though he played on the defensive line as well as a junior, Frommann could potentially play linebacker as well at the next level. He'll attempt to show his versatility at several camps this summer.

I am also attending these camps," he said, "Michigan State, Western Michigan, Central Michigan, Bowling Green, Akron University, Wayne State University, and Northwood University."
