McKinney Reaches a Decision

Another player from instate made their college choice this week. Danny McKinney didn't have to wait long to know where he wanted to play, the school of his choice was the first to offer and were rewarded with a committment.

Melvindale head coach Phil Howard has reported to MichiganVarsity.com that his oustanding senior WR Danny McKinney has verbaled to Eastern Michigan University.

The 6'1, 190-lb McKinney had 25 receptions and 6 touchdowns from his wide receiver spot a year ago. He is an athletic target who wins jump balls and has some ability after the catch.

As a linebacker on defense, McKinney recorded 131 tackles and 8.5 sacks.
