WMU Satellite Camp Report: Grand Ledge

Western Michigan wrapped up their satellite camps with a visit to Grand Ledge where there were a few good senior prospects and one top instate junior in attendance.

The rain followed us over from Grand Rapids to Grand Ledge, but that again did not stop the action on the field.

The main attraction here was Grand Ledge's own James Jackson. The state 100m champ, his speed and explosiveness is unmatched in the state. He was awesome in footwork drills even in the wet conditions. He worked out at cornerback here, a change from the Michigan camp where he was a wide receiver, but he is being recruited to play both at the next level. Either way, he looks like one of the top juniors not only in the state, but in the midwest.

Lansing Everett FS Josh Brown is a hockey player turned football prospect who showed good movement skills today.

Maybe the most impressive performance came from Mike Zuriekat. The Flint Powers kicker was nailing 40-50 yarders and from either hash. He is reporting MAC and Big Ten interest and he looks to be the real deal.
