We're getting down now to some of the best players in the state as we count down from 200 to 1. Today we have record setting ball carriers, one of the state leaders in interceptions and many other great players.
Ann Arbor Huron
Smooth wideout who does all the little things well, just doesn't have super speed, but catches everything.
Productive back who never quite got his due, but has a Western Michigan offer.
Could play guard or defensive end at the next level, has a Central Michigan offer.
Decided not to play football in college - but this is where he would have been ranked.
Speedy back could be a slot receiver in college...tougher than his listed size would indicate.
Athletic cover corner snagged nine interceptions as a senior and locked down his side of the field.
Could be a tight end or defensive end as well, simply a big kid with great speed for his size.
Detroit Cass Tech
A tackling machine, Archie is usually around the ball and making tackles. He is a safety/backer tweener but should add weight.
A big back with solid speed, this four year varsity starter has MAC and Big Ten interest.
Tough, smart linebacker. Isn't very tall, but is well built and doesn't miss many tackles. He will head to WMU next season.
Fine athlete who could play on either side of the ball next year and has Iowa, MAC schools and others looking at him.
GR Ottawa Hills
15 interceptions the last two years and he's still somewhat under the radar. A great athlete who has GVSU, Iowa, MAC schools and others on him.
Had a strong senior season. He can throw on the move and is a good athlete. CMU, MSU, etc like his dual threat ability.
Big guy who finishes blocks strong. He isn't as great in space, but he can be a right tackle or a guard in the right systems.
This quarterback is a fine athlete with toughness and swagger and could be a fine cover corner.
Lansing Catholic Central
This Central Michigan commit is a great athlete who needs to add some bulk, but has the frame to do so.
A nice athlete with good size, Howard has the ability to be a center fielder type. He is headed to Ball State next season.
Hart is multi-talented. He is a ball hawk at both corner and safety and also has ability at wideout.
Good athlete who can get to the quarterback, but with his size (6'4, 200), he'll have to bulk up and possibly move to linebacker.
Speedy tailback who put up strong numbers the past two season. Doesn't have great size, but could be a good ollege back.
Great athlete with size (6'3) and can play a number of positions at the next level. Has a WMU offer, but is looking out of state.
Not big, but accurate and efficient. Has the head you want on a quarterback, had he not gotten injured, he'd be D1, as it stands, 1AA and D2 are possibilities.
Big bodied tackle could move inside to guard in college, but is tough and very strong.
Walled Lake Western
Playmaker with open field ability and could also serve as a return man at the next level.
Big 6'4 track kid with great athleticism. Turned it on as a senior, CMU, WMU and GVSU are his final three.
Grand Rapids Catholic Central
A 6'2, 270 lb fullback, that's scary. Whats also scary is how good Harvey could be on defense with improved strength and conditioning work in college.
Not the biggest guy, but aggressive and quick, Briggs has an Eastern Michigan offer already and may pick up a couple late ones.
Birmingham Brother Rice
Plaskey has a big frame and a long wingspan, he also plays a mean and aggressive game and has Big Ten and MAC schools looking closer.
Plays some OLB and some safety, he can hit and cover and at the least, will be a strong special teamer in college.
Transferred from Highland Park and only played one game this year. Powerful, aggressive kid, if he wasn't 5'11, he'd rate much higher.
