Top 200 Seniors: #18 Ethan Ruhland

Michigan State has turned into a tough running football team under Mark Dantonio. Of course, it all starts up front and the Spartans fortified their offensive line by pulling in a couple of instate road graders, none of whom may be better than Lake Orion's Ethan Ruhland. The standout Spartan commit is the 18th ranked senior in our top 200 countdown

Here is a guy no one talks about, but Ruhland has the look of a future starter at MSU. He was outstanding at the camps he attended this summer, holding his own against a number of top prospects including Nathaniel Williams and Mike Martin.

At 6'5, 275, he has the frame to get a lot bigger and will have to add weight, but he is very athletically built. He could play tackle and has played tackle, but watching him, he has the ability to be a successful collegiate guard as well because he is a good run blocker.

He'll likely redshirt, get in the weight room and add the bulk next year, but after that, Ruhland should start pushing for a starting job. I'm that high on him. His technique, feet and the frame where you could add 30 pounds and not lose athleticism all are a part of what makes Ethan Ruhland our #18 senior for 2008.
