Michigan Kids Beginning to Decide

Signing Day is just around the corner and with that in mind, kids around the state are starting to make their decisions. We update you on the latest decisions and give you the run down on the guys left to decide.

Dearborn's dream team QB Anthony Mifsud has commited to Hillsdale. The 6'4, 180-lb Mifsud was recruited by MAC schools, D2 and 1-AA programs but has followed in his father's foosteps. Anthony's father David was a fine receiver for Hillsdale.

A couple other GLIAC commits: Grand Rapids Catholic Central DT Jason Harvey has verbaled to Northwood and Detroit Cooley LB Andrew Hall has committed to Wayne State.

A couple MAC commitments we haven't mentioned yet as well: New Haven WR Nathaniel Hardy has committed to Eastern Michigan. Dowagiac's bruising RB Jamie Simpson has committed to Western Michigan.

A busy place on Signing Day will be Detroit's Martin Luther King high school. Of course, all eyes will be on DE Nick Perry, but the Crusaders have a number of other prospects who will decide:

* LB Edgar Pouncey appears headed South to the MEAC. Florida A&M and Morgan State are among the finalists.

* His teammate, QB/S Donovan Dickerson is down to Morgan State and Jackson State.

* WR/CB Corey Chatman has Nortwood slightly in the lead over Grand Valley State.

As always, MichiganVarsity.com will keep you updated on these young men and all the other college prospects in the state of Michigan.
