The regional meet at pass christian on feb 11 didnt get started till12:30. My team was ther at 8:30 for weigh in. We left at 6 in the morning to get ther on time. The meet was supposed to start at 10. First of all, four of my top five kids cudnt make the meet because of ACT! Which is total bs. Y wud they schedule a meet on an ACT day. Another school didnt even come because they had three or four kids takin the ACT. Not good for the sport! Not good for the kids! Another thing is most of not all the judges had ties to either pass or somebody at pass christian. Just sayin not good for the sport! Not the kids!
Maybe you should just say things weren't right at that meet. Powerlifting is a good sport and a good way to motivate you're lifters. Are you new to the sport? We've gone from having no football players squating over 400 to having players squating close to 600 (legal). I do agree having the meet on Sat. of ACT is crazy, but they have to do it when they can get judges and a location.
What were the results for that meet? We are coming to Pass on the 3rd of March for South State.
Get ready to get hammered by the local judges, the real strength coach at Pass is the legendary Doc Rhodes, his sons are probably some of the judges and so will be those who either lifted under him at St Johns, or SSC............
