Joe Bradshaw has died at the age of 75. He had a 353-122-4 career record in 41 seasons, the last 34 years in Charleston at Strider before his retirement in 2005, where he had won five MAIS state championships (1972, 1973, 1974, 1978, 1982).
Coach Bradshaw touched so many lives in Tallahatchie County and beyond. I cant tell you how many young people he took in and did things for them that nobody knows about. This is 1 man who will truley be missed by so many people. A sad day for all his family and his extended family. he was totally respected by all who came into contact with him.
Prayers sent to the Tallahatchie Family. I'll never forget when we played Strider in baseball one year and he was helping coach the baseball team. We had a guy that had 3 at bats and had 3 homeruns and he came up for his 4th at bat. Their pitcher looked over in their dugout and coach Bradshaw said "you better not look at me, you better look to the Lord!" Again, prayers sent.
Coach Bradshaw meant a great deal to many many people. His name was synonymous with Strider football. He certainly lived a long and fruitful life. I love how he said "over there and all that" at the end of every sentence.
"In regard to economic policy, socialism and communism are identical"
