Brandon Acker is a talented WR from Hattiesburg High who hopes he can play at the next level. While he hasn't had the offered rolling in like he had hoped, he does have some options.

"I have been hearing from all the junior colleges around the state," he said. "I have been hearing from mostly everybody. I also have interest from Arkansas Pine Bluff as well, and I have been invited to take a visit to Louisiana Lafayette as well."

Acker said he has a few JuCo's he'd be interested, and his dream is to eventually play at the D1 level.

He's also a talented baseball player, and getting drafted is not out of the question for him as well.

"I love baseball as much as football, and I'd love to do both but I know that would be very difficult," he said. "In football, we finished very strong and I had a great season. I wish we could have won state, but we made it farther than a lot of people thought we would."

There is one school that still stands above the rest, the hometown Eagles.

"I'm just still waiting on USM," he said. "I talked to someone in the recruting offices but I haven't talked to any of the coaches yet. I'm hoping to work hard at the junior college level and then Southern Miss will be an option for me then."
