Devonte Majors Commits To Huskies

Fort Zumwalt West standout Devonte Majors makes his college choice with his commitment to Northern Illinois

Fort Zumwalt West standout WR Devonte Majors 6'2"220lbs made his college decision public by committing to Northern Illinois after a recent visit.

ShowMePreps.com caught up with Majors to get his thoughts on NIU along with how he came to his final decision.

I visited (Northern Illinois) on Saturday and just got back today.I choose them over Eastern Michigan and some division 1 aa schools.I choose NIU because, I've known Coach Doeren and Coach Canada for about 3 years now since he recruited me at Wisconsin, and Canada recruited me at Indiana so my family and I just felt really comfortable with them and the NIu family. Also I felt like i'd fit really well in Coach Canada's offense and Niu is close to home and near Chicago which us where I have a couple of family members as well.

I asked Devonte, who had 59 receptions for 715 yards and 6 TDs his senior season, what position he will be playing at Northern Illinois.

I'll be playing the H-back position which is a mix of both positions where I can just line up and create mismatches all over the field but I'll be listed as a TE on the roster.

Majors has been a sure-handed receiver for the Jaguars over his career at Ft. Zumwalt West, and been a physical blocker and playmaker for them. He should excel on the college level.
