ShowMeNext 2014: White Is One To Watch

The crop of linemen in the Missouri class of 2014 is an impresive one and could be the best in a long time, if not ever, in the Show-Me state. We introduce you to one of those linemen to watch for as the summer starts to heat up.

Hazelwood (MO) Central already has one offensive lineman  in the class of 2014 coveted by colleges in Roderick Johnson, who has early offers from Missouri and Iowa. And it appears as though the Hawks have another two-way lineman who colleges are keeping a close eye on.

Class of 2014 OG/DT Tony White 6'3" 330 is attracting the attention of school who have been coming in during the evaluation period looking for talent.

"My coach says that Missouri, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Iowa have all talked about me," said White." It ‘s a great feeling and really make me want to work harder this summer to get better. I am switching to play offensive line, and I heard Missouri and those schools are interested in seeing me play there."

While it is still early, White shared some thoughts on each of those schools showing interest.

Missouri-" It's close to home. A good school, and they will be playing in the SEC.  I like Mizzou.

Wisconsin- "It's a linemen school. Known for producing very good lineman and that is attractive about them."

Northwestern- "It's a great academic school in the Big 10."

Iowa-" I like them. They are a good school and football program.

White also mentioned Nebraska as a school he has interest in.

For now, it's all about working hard in the off season to become a better player and better team with Tony White.

"Recruiting will be there. Right now I am working with Roderick (Johnson) and my other linemen to get better and will spent all summer working to be the best we can be as a unit and a team," said White.

Tony White will be a player to watch in the 2014 class and we will keep you updated on his recruitment.
