Tory Miller Taking Recruiting Slowly

Lee's Summit (MO)West 2013 big man Tory Miller was with his KC Run GMC AAU squad at the recent Mullens High Profile Tournament and was there and spoke with Miller to get an update on his summer and recruitment.

Many Missouri high school basketball players brought the intensity on the court during this past weekend's Mullen's High Profile Tournament held at Lindenwood University this past weekend. Among those players were determined to prove that they have the drive and the skills to make it in college ball was Tory Miller, 6'8", who plays center for his high school, Lee's Summit (MO) West, and for KC Run GMC during the summer playing AAU ball.

Miller's KC Run GMC team made it to the semi-final game before losing to eventual 17U champions, Arkansas Mustangs. caught up with Tory Miller to get the latest on his summer and recruitment.

When asked about his AAU season, he replied, "It is going well, but I will not be satisfied until the championship." He is definitely a strong player and a humble one, admitting that there are still things he needs to work on to perfect his game, such as "better defense."

I then turned Tory's attention to the latest with his recruitment.

So far, he has received offers from a few schools including Colorado State, Minnesota, and Nebraska. He is confident that recruiting will be even better for him once this season is over.

So far, Miller has visited Nebraska and Arkansas and hopes to head to Colorado State, Missouri, and KU soon. However, he does not have a list of any favorite schools and is not sure when his decision will be made.

Miller explained, "Whether I want to be close to where I live or far away is probably going to be the deciding factor."

No matter what Tory Miller's decision is, one thing is certain. We can definitely expect to see him playing somewhere in the NCAA in the near future.
