St. Louis Defensive End Receives First Offer

The Class of 2013 in the state of Missouri has been identified as one of the best in recent memory as far as number of D1 prospects in a particular year. The number continues to grow with another John Burroughs prospect picking up his first of what looks like many on the way.

John Burroughs High School in St. Louis (MO) has one of the top football prospects in the country in Ohio State commit Ezekiel Elliott, who has helped his team off to a perfect start and top ranking in the state in it's class, however, Elliott isn't the only D1 prospect for the Bombers in the 2013 class.

Senior DE Solo Ceesay 6'3" 250 caught my attention last season and over the summer at a Mizzou camp. The muscular 2013 defensive lineman has also caught the attention of colleges early into his senior season and informed me of his first offer.

" Miami,OH just offered me this past week,"said Ceesay on Saturday following his teams win over Lutheran North. "It's great to get my first offer and I am pretty happy about it. They said they really like me and want me to visit."

Ceesay says that Miami (OH) isn't the only school he has heard from lately.

" I am also hearing from California,UCLA, Minnesota, Tulsa, Army and Navy. All say they have interest. Local schools like Illinois and Missouri a little bit. Illinois has actually started showing more interest. Mizzou has shown a little but not much,"said Solo.

The St. Louis product is off to a good start with13 tackles and 2 sacks in the early going. He credits a change this year to his recent attention.

"I am playing defensive end this year which is my more natural position and where I am better fitted for. Schools seem to be seeing that." will keep you updated on Solo Ceesay's  recruitment.
