Schaffner Adds Iowa State Offer

2014 TE Scott Schaffner from Raymore-Peculiar (MO)has received his second D1 offer, this one from the Big 12's Iowa State Cyclone. Schaffner informed of the offer today.

Raymore-Peculiar 2014 TE Scott Schaffner 6'4" 215 4.6 forty informed that he has picked up and offer from the Iowa State Cyclones today.

"I was sitting here at Northern Illinois waiting to camp with the Huskies, and I talked to Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads on the phone and he offered me to come play at ISU," said Schaffner.

Schaffner had an outstanding camp at Ames last week where he ran a 4.61 forty time. At that time he told me that he felt like Iowa State was close to offering him.

Schaffner shared his thoughts on getting the offer from ISU.

"When I went to Iowa State for their one day camp back in 2012,and I really enjoyed the experience and at that time thought to myself, I would really like to play here. Now here I am today, just shocked that this opportunity is now in front of me. I'm grateful that Coach Rhoades and his staff believe in my abilities," said Schaffner.
