Army Comes Calling For Owen

Kearney (MO) is attracting a lot of attention from college coaches as of late as 2015 offensive tackle prospect Tanner Owen is becoming a focus of schools during this spring evaluation period. Owen picked up his first FBS offer.

Kearney (MO) OT prospect Tanner Owen 6'6" 261 recently added an offer from Army to his list of schools interested in his services.

"I just got an offer from Army," Owen told ShowMePreps.com following his knowledge of his first FBS offer. ‘They have been sending me letters for a while now. And they have been by my school to see me.'

Owen shared his thoughts on his latest offer.

"I'm very excited! It's my first FBS offer, and it's and honor to be recruited by a school like them, and also a great football program like them," he said.

I asked him if he felt that there were any other schools who may seem like they are close to offering him?

"I think that Missouri may be pretty close for when I come to camp there. Wyoming seems close, and Northwestern really seems interested, which is a new one. Also Michigan and Northern Illinois."

The interest in Owen seems to be picking up as schools make the trek to Kearney to check in on the athletic offensive line prospect.

"Arkansas,Nebraska, Wyoming, Northwestern, All the military schools, Holy Cross, Illinois State, Western Illinois and I am sure there are more that I can't think of right now."

ShowMePreps.com will continue to update you on the recruitment of Tanner Owen.
