Team Preview 2010: Lindbergh Flyers

The Lindbergh Flyers are gearing to make a run in Class 6 district 2

The Lindbergh Flyers return a solid number of defensive starters, led by All State,All-Metro, All Conference and conference defensive player of the year, Tony Robinson, who returns his 14 sacks and 72 tackles to the team along with starting LB Sam Smith (78 tackles-8 sacks-4 INTs) to give them a nice base to work from.

The offense lost talented QB Kyle Portell that they must replace. The leading candidate looks to be junior Peter Simpson.

The running game does return some vets in speedy Tim Hamm-Bey along with Smith at fullback.

Two way lineman Tom Million returns to anchor both sides of the lines and All-conference DB Grant Krueger is also back.

The Flyers also look like they have some good young talent coming up from among the underclassmen.

They will be part of a tough Class 6 district 2 along with DeSmet, SLUH and Mehlville.

Coaches team overview and outlook for 2010?

Solid athletically and 7 returners on Defense leads to solid potienal. Team needs to develop offensive firepower revamping tools from last years returners.
