Team Preview 2010: Staley Falcons

The Staley Falcons look to make a run for the dome in 2010

Team Name:  Staley High school

Head Coach: Fred Bouchard

2009 Record:  11-1

Post-Season Play:  Lost in 2nd round to Kearney HS

Staley head football coach Fred Bouchard is no stranger to winning. He came to Staley after winning state championships at Harrisonville (MO) for many years.

So it is not surprise that he has taken the fledgling Staley program and made them winners who will compete for a state championship in such a short time.

After going 11- last year, the Falcons return a talented starting backfield trio of QB Mike Rich, RB Evan Campbell and FB Morgan Steward. Campbell and Steward will be one of the fastest running back duos in the state.

Defensively, Staley returns several of it's top starters, inlcuding D1 prospect Videl Nelson at LB along with fellow LB Deavon Payne, D-lineman Austin Hootenm and S Jackson Long.

Coaches team overview and outlook for 2010?

We have to replace our first senior class so finding suitable replacements is the key for success in 2010.  Our early returns during summer camp and 2-a-days gives us some hope to be optimistic.  Staying healthy will be big and keeping a focus for the entire season is paramount for any hope of post-season success.
