Nebraska Prep Top 10 - Sept. 6

In Class B, any of the top 5 could be number 1 after their week 1 performance. Lincoln Pius used the week "0" game at Lexington to work out the first game questions Omaha Skutt had some shakey moments and lost to Pius in week one. Beatrice moved into the Top 10 but .....

There are changes in the rankings after week one, but some were expected due to the balance of competition.  Omaha Creighton Prep surprised us with the way they were able to control the line against an annual state power in Lincoln Southeast.  Millard West was able to defeat Millard North in a game that saw 8 passes total – YES a total of 8 passes combined from both teams. Omaha Central got win number one, but the question at Central is not about talent but rather about "teamwork" and putting the team performance (W's) above individual play.

In Class B, any of the top 5 could be number 1 after their week 1 performance. Lincoln Pius used the week "0" game at Lexington to work out the first game questions Omaha Skutt had some shakey moments and lost to Pius in week one. Beatrice moved into the Top 10 but the depth appears thin and as the team plays on they must develop the depth or the stay will be short.

In C-1 Kearney Catholic moves into the Top 10. Otherwise not a lot of changes. Wahoo Bishop Nuemann win over Auburn drops Auburn out of the Top 10.  In C-2 Garden County lost to North Platte St. Patrick but remains in the Top 10 for this week.

In Class D-1 Howells continues to win and this year's "new" top challenger Lawrence-Nelsen wins also .  In D-2 Lindsay Holy Family leads the pack.
