The List of Signees Get Longer This Week

Gorman got headlines this week, as their American Legion Championship team was raided by the likes of Arizona, USC, Long Beach State baseball programs. I think that it is finally time to recognize Findlay Prep. He might not be selling many cars these days, but Cliff Findlay has started a program that should see the #1 High School in the Country ranking this season. Cant wait to see them in action

Lets start out with where we are at with football. With verbal commitments, this is a really deep Southern Nevada class. What remains interesting is that UNLV and Nevada have only got commitments from two players at this moment. THe Hug commitments seem to be still on shaky ground, Chris Ault needs to reload the Wolfpack by getting local kids to stay home. He is not getting it done. Mike Sanford and UNLV got into some houses, but could not get Las Vegas kids to take the program seriously enough to keep them around. Still a host of players are still out there, I do think that PAC 10 schools in Oregon State, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State and Stanford will continue to raid these left over players. Boise has already gotten their first commitment, another Southern Nevada player.

Justin Chaisson - Gorman - Oklahoma, Torin Harris - Palo Verde - USC, Keenan Graham - Silverado - UCLA, Michael Wadsworth and Aj Alofipo of Silverado to Hawaii, joining them at UH will be Liloa Nobriga of Palo Verde. Jake Broyles of Foothill - Boise State. Jason Childers of Gorman - UNLV. Duke Williams of Hug - Nevada. Karrington Armstrong of McQueen - Oregon. With kids like Proby, Williams of Valley, Sullivan at Cheyenne and Bullock of Vegas - this list will grow. Van Noy of McQueen remains the top un committed Northern recruit with BYU and ASU leading the way.

Big week for boys hoops with signings. Up North, sharp shooter Austin Morgan of Reno is headed to Yale. This is the same direction that Alex Gamboa had when he starred at Reno. Darington Hobson - playing now at College of Eastern Utah is headed to New Mexico. Milos Knozevic of Liberty is headed to Bradley - leaving UNLV, Utah State, Santa Clara, Pepperdine waiting. UNLV was out of rides after Anthony Marshall of Mojave signed with UNLV this week. The spectacular Elijah Johnson of Cheyenne will be headed to Kansas. Reggie Shaw of DP is still out there and should be signed late. Guy Edi of Findlay Prep is leaning towards Miami. He is one of the few unsigned and committed players that the FP Squad has. The team is loaded with players headed to Washington, Texas, Illinois, UNLV - cant wait to see them take on Lake Mead Academy. Michael Cutright of Cm - Northwestern State.

Jerry Tarkanian's Grand Daughter Dannielle Diamont is going to Northwestern. Mia Bell of Durango headed to UNLV, Rashwanda Gray of Centennial headed to Dixie State, Hayley Henderson of Palo going to NAU. Deanna Daniels of Centennial also headed to Dixie. In the Diamont signing - Gorman girls hoops under Coach Sheryl Krympotich in her 10 th year has now had 19 D1 players sign scholarships. Last year it was State MVP Ashley Gayle who is at Texas and Darriel Gaynor who is at Oregon.
