A talented player from St. Anthony's High School in Jersey City, New Jersey is likely to take the juco route ...

Marcus Williams, a strong, athletic 6-foot-2 guard from St. Anthony's High School in Jersey City, New Jersey, has given a verbal commitment to play for Ken Wilcox' Globe Tech juco program in New York City, according to sources close to Williams.

Globe Tech, a school located not too far from where the Twin Towers fell in September of 2001, has recently been very productive in polishing top high school players. Globe Tech plays its games at Pace. Williams is hoping to push himself up to a high division one level by playing for Globe Tech.

Williams had previously told us he was interested in Stony Brook, St. Peter's, George Mason, and James Madison. Williams participated in the Eastern Invitational All Star game in the July session of 2003. He also played in a local high school event held at Seton Hall. Williams showed he can be a terrific defender as well as someone who can get on the floor for loose balls.
