New Heights PG Shines At Rumble

New Heights had a great showing this past weekend at the Rumble in the Bronx. And one of the reasons was its point guard

Terrance Grier, a stocky 5-foot-11, 185-pound point guard/combo guard from Cranford High School in Cranford, New Jersey, competed with New Heights at the Rumble in the Bronx at Fordham University this past weekend, helping the team to a run to the finals.

Grier is an athletic guard who is quick to the hole. He likes to play fast and at times was a bit out of control on forays to the hoop. However, with his quickness, he can get to the rim and is hard for defenders to keep in front of him. Grier reminds of former Peekskill (NY) High School and current Kent State guard Rashard Turner with his strong build and propensity to drive it to the hole.

Grier has gotten interest from Rutgers, Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Xavier, Miami, Villanova, Connecticut, Florida, Rider, and Fairfield. He said that he has been offered by Rutgers, Rider, and Fairfield. Terrance wants to take trips to Miami and Villanova.

Grier will be at the ABCD Camp at Farleigh Dickinson University in July. New Heights also travels to Las Vegas during July, and will compete at the Best of Summer event at Loyola Marymount in California.

Grier is still awaiting the results of his June SAT try.
